Correction History
Updated
Corrections to Codes & Letters are recorded in two places: in the Corrections section at the foot of the page that changed, and here, where the entries from the whole site are kept together.
How a correction is recorded
- Each entry follows one format:
YYYY-MM-DD — correction in one sentence + reason. On this page, each entry also links to the page it concerns. - Entries are kept for good. None is deleted, including an entry that a later correction supersedes.
- When a correction changes a value in a spec card, the downloadable CSV behind that card is updated at the same time, so the page and the data file agree.
- A substantive revision also updates the revision date in the article's Cite this page block.
- No correction is made silently. A change to what a page states gets an entry in the log.
